A FEWSTERN Research Challenge Meeting, this year’s JRCEEC Annual Meeting, was held December 7-9, 2017 at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee USA. Approximately 120 US and Chinese researchers from academia, government agencies, and private industry (with expertise in food, energy, water, sociology, and policy) came together in Tennessee to identify challenges, teaming opportunities, proposal development activities, and strategic research planning initiatives.
